Prayer Request 4-27-13

Apologies for not posting this request by 5:00 PM, yesterday due to Slik’s eye infection is causing  blurry vision so he cannot see well nor read the emails, I Balding 2 soon, didn’t check the email either because Slik usually takes care of it and now that He cannot see I will make sure until his eyes are better that all prayer requests are posted as promised by 5 PM if schedule permits.

Mother of a Warrior, wrote the following request,

I Feel the deep need to pray for a fellow blogger.  Just read a page and knew that this life worth standing and fighting for through prayer and intercession.

Please joing me in praying for a lady who’s late husband passed and teen daughter is lost through the pain of a hard life.

I know that ALL Things work together for the good and glory of God.

Testimony Series Conclusion part 1

Like I mentioned in my last post I am placing the series on hold and don’t know at this point if  I’ll finish the series here on the blog that decision lies with God and God alone. So I am writing this conclusion post to sum up what has already been written without giving out too much more information about my testimony here on the blog so I have fresh material to share in the book God wants me to write.

God Wants To Become Your Best Friend

When I was in my younger teens I believed God was a God of Love but I was exempt from that love, so I didn’t set out to know the Lord by asking Him into my heart. Instead I set out to live a reckless life and that reckless lead me to the brink of trying to commit suicide and it almost took my life, that day but the Lord had other plans that day and the finger prints of His love was all over the scene. for instance in the ambulance,  the christian male paramedic told the female co-worker he needed to be in the back for that long ride to the hospital. The female nurse that jumped up on the stretcher to perform CPR and the doctor that took His training and applied it to save my life that day. God directed all those different people to apply their ability to save my life. The Lord was trying to show me that day He wasn’t going to let the enemy (Satan) steal His best friend from Him that day. {That Is a True Friend!!!} God wants to be your true friend as well and I guarantee His finger prints are all of your life even if you can not see those finger prints. I see it now in my life because my father’s life style brought me to the Lord, as well my wife’s kind Christ like actions towards me when I didn’t deserve it.
{14 years later this song became our wedding song but at the time when she dedicated this song to me because she saw something within that I couldn’t see and she sat out to prove it to me through her Christ like actions.}

So what I’m trying to convey here is I did look for God many times during my teenage years I ask God in my heart many times but my heart wasn’t in it for a long-term relationship instead I treated God like a Holy 911 service, calling upon Him when I come up against something I felt powerless to conquer which got me no where. Because I’ve been shot at and many suicide attempts. I also should have been arrested many times. I have hurt a lot people physically and emotionally. I had a reputation of being a bad a** and I wasn’t a person to be messed with.

God tried to grab my attention many times but I sadly ignored Him, so the Lord turned up the intensity by letting the devil have his way with restrictions. Once the devil had a go ahead he tried many things to take my life. There is two events I remember clearly that grab my attention. The first one was when I got shot at and the Holy Spirit  said jump from your bike know and I ignored the thought, then I heard the gun being cocked and the thought to jump got stronger. Just as I jumped the gun men took the shot and the bullet skimmed the sole of my shoe and hit my bike. This caused me to get revenge but I shake the finally how my life style almost cost me my life. Although I couldn’t shake the thought at first, instead I turned to becoming numb within and I set forth with getting revenge. The second event was when I took the major overdose it was different then previous attempts because those attempts where for attention; but on the other hand this particular overdose I was ready to die at least that’s what I thought.

Letting Go Of Your Past Is Important To Grow Closer To God

A person giving up their past isn’t something that is easily done for most people. But God doesn’t want you to stay a prisoner of your past either, you have to treat your past as somebody you use to know. Satan likes to use the past to hold you in bondage because he can use the pain against you so you will harbor resentment towards the people whom have hurt you over your life span. Satan also knows that as long you hold resentment you cannot be forgiven by God because you’re not willing to forgive.

Matthew 6:14-15 (NIV)
14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Now that you know this tidbit of truth don’t let Satan steal your chance to forgive others so you can be forgiven as well. Most of whom have hurt you go on with their life and forget the event that hurt you so why should you harbor the event in your mind as well.  You are person fearfully made in Gods image and your past doesn’t define who you are now. God truly wants to clean the junk within so you can live a much fuller and richer life in Gods presence.

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Sin Is addictive Like Crystal Meth

I recently Ask the Lord to help me see the damaging effects of sin and the Lord replied to me “It’s Like Crystal Meth”

I chose the graphic Christian video to drive the point across how addictive sin becomes just like meth. Meth is made with hazardous chemicals and yet very addictive so addictive that the person continues wanting more meth because they cannot free themselves from the addiction. sin in many ways is like meth because Satan hides a lot of the nasty effects of the sin to allure you in, in hopes you’ll become addicted and if he cannot get you on the first try don’t worry he has higher doses of meth sin. For example such as I was addicted to porn at one point in my life it was like meth in many ways it was addicting from the first porn site visit and it was damaging me in many ways but I kept going back because I felt the emotional high from the secrecy.
