Listen To Your Heart Before You Give Up

Life storms can really put a person to the test. One thing I’ve learned recently is God, allows these storms to help mature, and shape us into the person He, intended us to become, but during the process of the storm we can become weary if we don’t keep our focus upon God, and the reason I say this is because it’s to easy for our flesh to get in the way. This is also a perfect way for Satan to step in and exploit what God, is trying to complete in our lives through the storm, If Satan gets a small scent that your flesh is messing things up then you can rest assure He, will be like a devouring lion exploiting the very weakness of your flesh.

It’s very important to allow your self time for inner reflection during the storm, by doing so it allows God, to point out areas in your life that needs changing it’s also best to listen to your heart during the storm process because this is where you’re going to find God, at because He, is removing the junk within during the storm.

1 Peter 1:6-7 (NIV)
In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire —may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

  1. Life storms are just as unpredictable as the thunderstorms of west MI. The weather forecasters can say they are coming but that doesn’t mean they will. However when the storm for God comes you don’t know it is coming, what storm it is or the magnitude level it is going to have, your most recent storm has been a severe impact for you and I could see it in your reactions. Although after a little while you were able to collect your thoughts and bring yourself together, another great example of how God wouldn’t give you more than you can handle. Sure it was a major explosion but he knew you could handle it, other wise the curve ball would have never been thrown your way.

  2. So true that life storms are used by God to mature us. We cry to God and ask for more of him. Then we get trials and testings and wonder why. God replies that we asked for it. How we ask?
We asked to become like him. It is a matter of our heart. Thanks S^K!

  3. Lovin’ what you said here.We always have to remember to seek to Hear what God says about our storms. Jesus slept during a storm only to wake up and say “Peace be still”. We have to seek God to say “Peace be still” when our minds are running around in turmoil. Only He can calm our spirits to be still to hear what God has to say about our storms.

    Blessings to you Bro S^K.

    • Hi, Sherline thank you for sharing your insight.

I found the following that you said comforting

Jesus slept during a storm only to wake up and say “Peace be still”

God, has been convicting me for months now to trust him, and I chosen to ignore him, all that time, these previous life storms have really open my eye’s and heart to God, recently God, shared this Scripture verse with me.

      John 13:7
